For many, the death of a pet is like losing a close family member. Pet cremation is just one way to honour your four-legged best friend, who was always there for you, even at the end.
Once your loyal pet is no longer around, you will be faced with the difficult decision of what to do with their body. At Patch & Purr, we offer pet cremation services where your pet will be treated with the care and respect they deserve.
We service Sydney, Illawarra, Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Newcastle and Hunter regions.

Additional Information
The Patch & Purr Pet Cremation is for all pets over 2kg up to 100kg. Every pet that comes into our care is handled with the utmost respect and dignity and are privately cremated. Each pet is provided with the Pet Tracker 360 system, giving you peace of mind that the ashes returned home are of your pet and only your pet.
All pets are returned home in either a drawstring pouch or scatter box.
The pet cremation can be personalised to your taste by adding a beautiful urn or timber memorial box. Our keepsake and jewellery ranges help create a lasting memory that is unique to you and your beloved pet.
Each Patch & Purr pet cremation services includes our unique tracking system, Pet Tracker 360™. This means each pet receives a tracker disc that stays with them throughout the entire cremation process, ensuring that the ashes you receive are the ashes of your beloved pet and only your pet.

If your pet passes away suddenly at home we will always endeavour to get to you as soon as we can, however, there are times when we are just not able to get to you as quickly as we would like. In this case, we will recommend one of our local vet partners you can take your beloved pet to, who will care for them until we are able to bring them into our care.
Terms & Conditions
- ^The standard pet cremation is only for pets over 2kg up to 100kg. Livestock 100kg and under may incur additional fees. All pets and livestock over 100kg will require a horse/livestock cremation service. Livestock is classified as farm-type animals such as horses, cows, alpacas, goats, sheep, pigs. The classification of animal is at the discretion of Patch & Purr.
- ^The pocket pet cremation is only for pets up to 2kg. Pets over 2kg will require a standard pet cremation.
- ^The horse / livestock cremation service is for animals over 100kg. The classification of livestock is at the discretion of Patch & Purr.
- *Transfer of deceased horse or livestock into our care is during business hours. Pricing includes minimum 2 hours travel time. Any travel time over 2 hours is charged at $150 per hour. For after-hours transfers and transfers on weekends and public holidays a fee of $220 is charged. For travel over 6 hours an overnight fee may be incurred. Cremated ashes are returned within 5-7 business days.
- *All pets are cremated individually. Transfer of the deceased pet from a vet or home into our care is during business hours. A $220 transfer fee will be charged for after-hours transfers and transfers on weekends and public holidays.
- Business hours are from Monday to Friday between 8am and 5pm.
- Viewings at our Ilawarra facility, with a minimum of 3 people in the viewing room and 5 (total) in the foyer. Bookings must be made prior to visiting our Illawarra facility by calling 1300 112 711
- Viewings during our operating hours are complimentary. Viewings after-hours or on weekends between 5pm - 8pm and 7am - 8am incur a $220 fee and between 8pm and 7am incur a $440 charge.
- Same day cremation is with ashes returned to the family on the same day is not currently available. For same day cremations, ashes will be returned the following business day. Same day cremation is only available Monday to Friday for pets up to 100kg. The pet must be in our care by 12pm that day. Same day cremation incurs a fee of $510.
- The return vessel available in the standard pet cremation is a choice of either a drawstring pouch or scatter box. No other vessels are included.
- ** The return vessel can be upgraded to any urn or memorial box at an extra cost. Includes a personalised engraving.
- ^^The Lock of Fur is included at no extra charge when an urn upgrade is selected. If the pet does not have fur or feathers or an adequate amount a lock may not be able to be taken. This is at the discretion of the Patch & Purr team.
- ***Keepsakes, memorial items and jewellery items are all available at an additional cost.
- No further discounts will apply. Not in conjunction with any other offer. Full payment is required prior to the return of cremated ashes. All prices include GST. Prices valid until 31 December 2019.
- Pet loss grief counselling is available for Patch & Purr clients only. One session pet client. Sessions are currently being held by phone or online conferencing only. No face to face sessions are available until further notice.
- We no longer accept cash payments; however we have EFTPOS, Direct deposit or ZipPay as effective alternatives. Our drivers do not have the facility to carry cash in their vehicles.
